Book typesetting – how to typeset a book?
The composition of the book is a very important stage in the publication process. There are many rules that precisely define how to prepare a book for printing. The main task of the DTP operator when submitting a book is to give it a final look – a layout that will make it easier for the reader to receive the content. When typesetting a book, we choose appropriate fonts and leadings, create top and bottom pagins, format titles, tables, footnotes, insert drawings in the text close to the place where they are spoken. In addition, we make sure that there are no conjunctions, widows, or single lines at the end of the text. We also correct small typographical errors (double spaces, spaces before punctuation marks, hyphens at the half-point). We also create and format a table of contents, a list of illustrations and indexes. We unify the entire text, enrich the title pages with designed graphics.

Publication typesetting – from quote to print
We offer a comprehensive service that includes typesetting and also printing. Thanks to our experience and close cooperation with the best printers, we will advise the book format, type and thickness of printing paper, available cover refinement, or cover type (hard, soft, sewn, glued).
In addition, we will prepare the cover design and do graphic processing of the delivered photos (color correction, removing the background from the photo, cleaning the photo, adjusting the CMYK color space and appropriate resolution to the printing requirements). We also create vector drawings, e.g. infographics, tables, charts.
Finally, we will create an e-book in all popular formats: PDF, MOBI, EPUB.

Composition of the books for printing – in what programs do we typeset books?
The composition of the text is made in Adobe Indesign CC, which works best when typesetting books and long texts.
We use Corel Draw and Adobe Illustrator CC for vector graphics, and Adobe Photoshop CC for raster graphics (photos).
We also typeset books in the popular tool called LaTex.
ISBN – is it necessary and where to get it?
An ISBN is not necessary to publish a book, although issuing ISBNs is a good practice for the publishing industry. This makes it easier to identify the book. ISBN can be obtained by using the website https://e-isbn.pl/IsbnWeb/.
E-books should also have an ISBN number, which makes them easier to find in search engines (although this is not necessary). If electronic publications are made available in different formats (e.g. mobi, epub, pdf), it is recommended to give each one a separate ISBN number.
